I just uploaded some pictures to the photo album "LivingRoom". It is of our new rock wall wallpaper. It really does look real.

I have added a new photo album called Fireplace updates. take a look at what we are doing to upgrade the fireplace.

Kellie saw a unique way of doing a floor covering on Pinterest. It involved using brown paper. You would crumble it up and then lay it out flat again. You mix half water and half white glue and then dip the paper in that and lay it on the floor as flat as possible. You could then stain the crinkles in the paper to bring out the texture and make it look even better. Then you would lay down about 3 coats of polyurethane over it to protect the paper and make a durable floor coat. In the kitchen ...

I added a new photo album for the bathroom. It shows adding the new floor. I have since started to tile around the edges of the room with 12 inch tiles. They have a similar look as the floor tiles. Once this is done, I have above the shower and to finish the ceiling to get this room completed. Oh, and a little trim around the door also. We do plan on putting in a vent fan over by the shower also.

We are painting the kitchen cabinets a light blue this weekend. I wanted to post some pix for you to see, but the website is not letting me today. I will try again tomorrow. This brings the Kitchen to the 'almost done' stage.

Yesterday Jerian and I worked to stabilize the landing and stairs off where the back door should be on the house. I posted a before & after photo so show how much we were able to level out the landing. From the look of the wood, we will have to remove all of it and start from scratch. That is OK as we were going to put a full deck on the back anyway

Today I put a lot of paint on the walls in the main bathroom. I have added pictures to the photo gallery. There is still work to be done but it is looking much better than before. I did a lot of spackle (joint compound) and sanding before the paint went up. We are planning on using some of the thin plastic sheeting above the shower stall to keep any water off the walls. This will make the shower unit very water resistant.

I have installed the door to the bathroom. So long sheet over the door. I installed a wall at the end of the shower tub. It did end up blocking a lot of the light from the only light in the room. So I installed a light in the other half of the room. The pedestal sink is in place and plumbed in. Now we have more than one sink in the house. I installed an outlet and a box for the light above the mirror but have not hooked them up yet. That should come real soon. I have not finished putting up a...

It has been a while since my last update. The kitchen is up and running. Both the range top and the built in oven are working. I hooked up the dishwasher and the water line to the refrigerator. We now have a working ice maker again. The kitchen stuff has now found a home and is back to a working kitchen again.
